Balkanistic Forum – International University Seminar for Research and Specializations (Balkanistic Forum-IUSRS) – Blagoevgrad was established on February 10, 1999 as an independent, voluntary, non-political, self-governing organization within the meaning of the Law on Non-Profit Legal Entities (NGO), existing in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. The goals of the association are research, educational and public-educational.
Through their implementation, the seminar unites the interests and efforts of prominent Bulgarian and foreign scientists in the field of humanities and social sciences.
The means for implementing the goals and carrying out the activities of the association are:
- Conducting workshops, seminars, conferences related to changes in science.
- Ensuring constant information exchange, organizing events at regional, national and international levels in the field of education and science and other public initiatives.
- Implementation of educational projects under programs in cooperation with related organizations in the country and in the country.
- Publishing and distribution of printed and electronic and multimedia publications related to the activities of the association.
- Stimulates cooperation and the free exchange of ideas, scientific knowledge and information by organizing seminars, courses, competitions, exhibitions, symposiums and other generally accepted forms of communication and contacts in the country and in the country.
- Organizes and conducts national and international scientific conferences and competitions, by creating research teams.
In 2023, the BALKANISTIC FORUM PRESS was established at the Balkanistic Forum – International University Seminar for Research and Specializations registered in the National Register of Publishing Houses in Bulgaria with code 978-619-92694. Publishing of scientific journals – “Balkanistic Forum” (until 2024) and “Balkanistic Worlds” (from 2025) Publication of scientific books (from 2023).
